Being a friend first is what makes a friendship last for me. I think the friends I have had the longest are because we love each other no matter and can talk to each other any time of the day or night.

In my opinion, shared experiences and a sense of humor make friendships endure the test of time,

My best friend and I have the same sense of humor and even though we’ve followed different life paths, we always take the time to talk to each other and stay in touch. She’s definitely a “kindred spirit.”

I think being honest no matter what is the key to a good enduring friendship. Sometimes could be really difficult, but good friends always find the right way to speak to our hearts. 🙂

Not sure as I’ve not been lucky to have ongoing friendships. I married a narcissist who used smear campaigns to ruin my name and my friendships disolved. I hope someday to have friendships not swayed by hatred and lies. I would think honesty, truth, authenticity, trust would be some traits to posess.

Shared friends need trust, loyalty, and understanding. Friendships are based on friends first. Friendships may come out of shared bonds or same interests!

Being as good a friend to others as they are to you. If it’s too one-sided, it never lasts.

Being truthful, honest, and open with each other. My sister is my best friend. We are always there for each other even though we live far apart.

Friendship in my opinion endures the test of time when you really are genuine and have that love for a friend, that you wish the best for someone! You support each other through difficult times. You don’t sugar coat things , you are real with someone though feelings might be hurt , you are truthful but also kind.
